The way my Ideal House is set up involves a backdrop of two house fronts opposite each other next to a lively street. The rooms in my house are spread over several buildings. They are linked together by means of their common exterior space. I rather imagined these rooms as stages for their inhabitants and their things, sometimes also as display windows. The existing stair well in hall 11.1 becomes a street, a public space, edged by facades, behind them a bar, a workshop, a kitchen, a bathroom. In my ideal House living takes place in a multiplicity of self-made worlds and conceptions, with furnishings being on the same level as our clothes, our cars, our music, or the cities, in which we live in. Each selection, each detail serves at the same time to explain our attitude and opinion to ourselves but also to communicate this to others. My Ideal House is therefore a house full of details and the opposite of stereotyped living conceptions.
